Meet Our Physician
Anita Gupta, DO, PharmD
Dr. Anita Gupta is currently appointed as vice chair of the Division of Pain Medicine and Regional Anesthesiology at Hahnemann University Hospital.
She completed her Doctorate in Pharmacy at Rutgers University and her medical degree from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Gupta completed her residency in anesthesiology at Georgetown University Hospital, where she was chief resident and was selected as a national representative for the American Society of Anesthesiology. During her residency, she received clinical scientist training at the National Institutes of Health at the National Institute of Heart, Lung and Blood. Following residency, Dr. Gupta completed a pain management fellowship from the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions.
Dr. Gupta is currently involved in research related to pain medicine and anesthesiology and is actively participating in writing articles, reviews and book chapters. She has been a presenter at several anesthesiology forums and won several research awards from her research at the National Institutes of Health and University of Pennsylvania, including the Pennsylvania First Place Research Award in 2011.
