Dr. Sahil Banka is an Interventional Cardiologist who brings an advanced skill set to Hahnemann University Hospital. In addition to doing complex coronary artery and peripheral artery angioplasty/interventions, Dr. Banka is experienced in repair of defects to structural heart disease, like percutaneous repair of ASD and PFO defects. He also places minimally invasive heart pumps for support in patients with advanced heart failure.
In the office setting, he is experienced in the management of common cardiovascular conditions, including:
- coronary artery disease and prevention
- high blood pressure
- high cholesterol
- heart valve diseases
- congestive heart failure
- palpitations and atrial fibrillation
- chest pain
- shortness of breath

Dr. Banka attended Howard University College of Medicine and completed his residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Washington University College of Medicine. However, he is no stranger to Hahnemann and Drexel University College of Medicine as he completed a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease and another in Interventional Cardiology at Hahnemann and DUCOM.
