Troy E. Sybert, MD, MPH, Joins Hahnemann University Hospital as Chief Medical Officer

Troy Sybert.jpgHahnemann University Hospital is proud to welcome Troy E. Sybert, MD, MPH, as its new Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Sybert succeeds Dr. George Amrom, who served as Chief Medical Officer since 1997 and was part of the medical staff since 1977. Over the course of his career, Dr. Amrom has made profound contributions to the well-being of not only Hahnemann University Hospital, but also the entire Philadelphia region. We sincerely thank Dr. Amrom for his dedication, commitment and service to Hahnemann and the community over the past 40-plus years. 

Dr. Sybert is a board-certified physician having training in both internal medicine and preventive medicine/public health with nearly two decades of impressive professional experience. Dr. Sybert is a value-driven leader who has a keen focus on strategic organizational growth. In addition to his clinical practice, he most recently served as a regional president for ApolloMD — an organization that works with hospitals and health systems to provide multispecialty services. Dr. Sybert has served in a number of other leadership roles throughout his career, including CMO of Capella Healthcare in Nashville, Tennessee and Chief Quality/Medical Information Officer of Wellmont Health System in Kingsport, Tennessee.

Dr. Sybert has a demonstrated history of navigating the complex and ever-changing healthcare field to further develop organizations and better serve patients. He is a deliberate leader who is excited to build upon Hahnemann’s regional and national reputation as a deliverer of high-quality, person-centered care. One of his main goals as CMO is to work collaboratively with key stakeholders, physicians and colleagues to better understand what is needed programmatically to grow strategically and provide exceptional care.
