Kelly Morley, RN, 15NT, Receives Hahnemann University Hospital's First Quarter 2018 DAISY Award

KellyMorely.jpgKelly Morley, RN, 15NT, was recognized as Hahnemann University Hospital's first quarter 2018 DAISY Award recipient. Kelly was nominated by a patient for her integrity, devotion and passion.

The patient who nominated Kelly for the DAISY Award shared this as their reason for her selection:

“I felt comfortable being in the hands of the 15th floor, but especially with my nurse, Kelly. She went above and beyond to provide excellent care. Kelly is a true advocate for her patients and exemplified all the qualities that a true nurse displays. Her compassion, devotion, dedication, empathy, honesty and integrity are the hallmark of nursing.”

Hahnemann University Hospital selects a nurse every quarter to receive the DAISY Award. During an awards ceremony, the recipient is presented with a sculpture called “A Healer’s Touch.” The piece is hand-carved by artists of the Shona Tribe in Africa.

DAISY Foundation was established by family members in memory of J. Patrick Barnes. The care Patrick and his family received while he was ill inspired them to create the DAISY Awards as a way to recognize and thank nurses for making a profound difference in the lives of patients and their families. Congratulations to Kelly, Hahnemann’s first quarter 2018 DAISY Award recipient.
