Critical Care Education

  • The modules prepare nurses for the Advanced Critical Care Course leading to CCRN Certification
  • This course is available to all Critical Care Nurses who have at least 2 years of Critical Care experience and is based on AACN Core Curriculum  
  • The course is taught by clinically current bedside nurses and physicians dedicated to specific specialties in Critical Care  
  • Didactic content and skills labs are provided to solidify the course content
  • This course is a “final step” in preparation toward specialty certification exam (CCRN). A bonus is given upon successful completion of the CCRN national Certification available through AACN.

New Graduate Residency

  • The program consists of 6 months of didactic, clinical skills, and team building/delegation activities to foster critical thinking and professional growth with mentoring continuing for one year
  • Team Building activities will be incorporated to demonstrate aspects of team behaviors such as good communication, problem solving skills, trust, and understanding other point of views.
  • Critical thinking case studies will be utilized to develop your critical thinking skills in order for you to be successful
  • Our nurses conclude the program with the creation of evidence based practice boards highlighting a practice change initiative; nurses work in groups and are given ample time to design their board during RN Residency Program days with all materials supplied
  • A graduation luncheon is held to recognize completion of the RN Residency Program with their EBP boards displayed
  • The Nurse Executive Council will be actively involved by conducting 30, 60, 90, and 180 day reviews for benchmarking attitudes
