MidAtlantic MedEvac–When Minutes Matter

MidAtlantic MedEvac is an air medical transport program operated by Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. Initiating operations in early 1987, our services include operations directly from the scene of injury as well as emergency inter-hospital transports. Since 1997, our operational capability has also included inflight instrument weather conditions, giving even greater service to our patients.

Operational Readiness

Using a helicopter for medical transport saves precious time while providing appropriate patient care. Efficient and highly effective communications and computer technology, combined with an ongoing state of preparedness, enable us to respond quickly while maintaining a very safe operating environment.

Our team includes flight nurses, flight medics, pilots, mechanics and communications technicians. The team is specially trained for air medical transport service and works diligently to keep the aircraft and equipment ready to respond rapidly. Experience is a great asset.
