On September 10, Hahnemann University Hospital celebrated the opening of a newly renovated inpatient dialysis unit with a formal ribbon cutting ceremony. Located on the 11th floor Bobst Building, the newly renovated 10-bed suite offers state-of-the art accommodations for inpatients requiring dialysis.

At the ceremony, Ellie Kelepouris, M.D., chief, Division of Nephrology and Hypertension, thanked those involved with the planning and development of the modernized facilities.

Dr. Kelepouris also expressed her excitement for practicing in the new space before cutting the ribbon to celebrate the official opening of the unit.

With an investment of $1 million, Hahnemann believes that the new inpatient dialysis unit will provide a better space for patients to receive care and greater satisfaction for employees and the medical staff.
