PHILADELPHIA, December 6, 2005 — Hahnemann University Hospital announces today the appointment of Michael J. Hallowell, MD, RVT, as clinical service chief in the Department of Radiology.
Dr. Hallowell serves as a radiologist with Philadelphia Radiology Associates. Prior to his current position, Dr. Hallowell was medical director of the non-invasive vascular laboratory at Hahnemann University Hospital.
Appointed clinical assistant professor of radiology at Drexel University College of Medicine in 2001 (formerly MCP/Hahnemann School of Medicine), Dr. Hallowell is board certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology and is a member of the Radiological Society of North America and the Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine.
Dr. Hallowell earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at the Medical Center of Delaware.
Hahnemann University Hospital is a 618-bed academic medical center at Broad & Vine Streets in Philadelphia, Pa.
