In cancer care, Hahnemann offers full-service diagnostics, including advanced laboratory and imaging services. A number of specialized multi-disciplinary centers manage treatment of central nervous tumors, ocular tumors, skin malignancies and breast cancer. Access to many national cooperative group trials may be available to select patients. 

Hahnemann continues a high level of expertise in the management of both benign (non-cancerous) and malignant (cancerous) lesions with radiation treatment.

The department offers:

• IMRT (intensity modualted radiation therapy) via linear accelerator
• stereotactic radiosurgery,
• total body irradiation,
• intraoperative radiation therapy,
• ocular brachytherapy
• 3-D treatment planning, a technique that preserves areas surrounding the cancerous tumor.

We are also involved in research in various clinical studies, including pediatric oncology.
