Jyoti Pillai, M.D.

PHILADELPHIA -- Jyoti Pillai, M.D. has been named assistant professor of medicine in the Department of Neurology for Drexel University College of Medicine at Hahnemann University Hospital.   Dr. Pillai comes to  Drexel and Hahnemann after completing a fellowship in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

After receiving her medical degree from the Topiwala National Medical College at the University of Mumbai in India, Dr. Pillai received her MRCP, or Board Certification, in Internal Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians of London, UK.  She traveled to the United States to continue her post-graduate training, and completed a residency and chief residency in neurology at MCP Hahnemann University.

Dr. Pillai is board certified in adult neurology and is a member of the Royal College of Physicians in the UK, the American Academy of Neurology, and the American Epilepsy Society.  She has presented her research at notable functions including the Annual Meeting of the American Epilepsy Society and the Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Neurology.
