PHILADELPHIA -- Hahnemann University Hospital’s Web site at www.hahnemannhospital.com captured a silver medal in the “Best Overall Internet Site” category during Strategic Health Care Communications’ 2005 eHealthcare Leadership Awards. Winners were recognized during a ceremony at the Ninth Annual Healthcare Internet Conference held November 9-12, 2005, in Las Vegas.
This leading national awards program recognizes the best web sites of healthcare providers, health care associations, health plans, pharmaceutical/medical equipment firms, and online health companies. Nearly 1,200 entries were judged during 2005 competition.
“As consumers continue to turn to the Internet for accurate and useful healthcare information, we are especially pleased our hospital’s web site has been honored for our content and interactivity,” said Mike Halter, president and CEO, Hahnemann University Hospital. “Our new online ‘Rate Your Risk’ component, a tool which allows individuals to assess their risk for heart disease and cancers, is an example of how Hahnemann University Hospital is providing Internet users with both valuable and interactive healthcare information.”
Factors considered in the “Best Overall Internet Site” category included the delivery of strong health content, medical care support, integration with the organization's operations, interactivity, strong web design and ease of navigation. |
